Bacon Wrapped Chicken

Bacon Wrapped Chicken

Bacon Wrapped Chicken

ooooh my!! That looks fantastic!!!

I would try mixing a can of green chillies with cream cheese and in leiu of chedder cheese use monterray jack cheese...and not so much bacon..

Thanks for this amazing recipe idea. I read through your comments and threw some of other peoples suggestions together. After I thinned out the chicken I sprinkled paprika, black pepper, and garlic salt right onto the chicken then I put some cream cheese down and topped it with pepperjack cheese and some green onions and wrapped the chicken around it. I was impressed that \"I\" actually made it because I usually don't fix anything fancy. However it was the best tasting chicken me and my guests have ever had. Then it was even better the next day for left overs because the flavors had more time to blend together. I will definetly be making extra as left overs because this is by far the best chicken ver and it wasn't that hard at all. I also used tooth picks to help hold it in place when I turned them over and I used a rack on top of a broiling pan so the air came up under and I didn't have to turn up the oven to crisp the bacon on top and I only had to turn it once half way thrown and after only one hour it was perfect.

I'm trying this recipe tonight! I'm broiling the bacon now and let me tell you....it smells and looks delicious!!!!!! Can't wait to taste it!!

I made this last night for dinner but I made it with turkey bacon only used 4 pieces per chicken, used low fat cream cheese and 2% cheese. Sprinkled Chicken with a little Tony's Chachere's seasoning(Cajun seasoning), and garlic salt. Made it a bit more on the healthier side. It was VERY good.

Delicious! Did this tonight without the cream cheese, and with Mozzerella cheese instead of cheddar! Mmmm....

45 minutes?? That sounds very long, if you do not like dry chicken! ???

I make mine with riccotta cheese and spinach. Everyone lives my bacon wrapped chicken.

We have a small grocery chain near us that makes a variation of this to bake. It has cream cheese and either swiss or mozarella (doesn't matter - just use your favorite)inside. They just spiral a couple of bacon slices around the breast and bake. I love it and agree with others - it's really great for leftovers. Thanks for the recipe and the replies - love to read the great ideas.

Hi. I found this post on pinterest and decided to try it out. Holly molly it was good! One thing I would change is I would add diced jalapino to the filling. We like it spicy and it would be a good chicken & jalapino popper mix. anyway, thanks for the recipie!!!

I made this and liked it a lot the bacon keeps the chicken breast moist ! Theirs so many different things you could add - jalapenos -green chill's my daughter make a spinach artichoke cream cheese dip that would be excellent in this !!

Try some green pesto, fresh goatcheese and some pinekernels.......

Or Dutch Gouda cheese and pepperoni...... delicious !

Looks good but I'd probably just do bacon one directon, the inner layer looks a little uncooked, I'm sure it is to temp but I don't like floppy bacon, definatly on my to try list though!

I've made this before it's really good! I cook my bacon a little before I wrap the chicken that way my chicken doesn't dry out too much. It's yummy.

Yum looks so tasty!

This looks so yummy!

That looks so yummy! I just discovered cooking bacon in the oven and will never do it in a frying pan again. I am a new follower!

Yummy, this sounds so good!! I bet adding in some chopped jalapenos into the mixture would be fabulous!! Saw this on Polka Dots on Parade. Thanks for sharing, I'm pinning this for later.

This looks really yummy. The addition of the bacon probably really helps to not dry out the chicken. I hate chicken breasts usually because they are so dry. This will improve them greatly.

that looks PRETTY GOOD!!!

Thanks for linking up to scrappy saturdays last weekend, come on back and link up again!

What a fabulous idea. I have to add that, while it was delicious as posted, I had some sun dried tomato cream cheese from Einstein Bagels, in my fridge and Oh My Goodness did it kick it up a bit. Thank you so much. My kids even love it.

Wonderful idea for the chicken... the bacon was a great touch... but i don't recommend putting the seasoning salt. it made it way to salty. and i didn't even use very much. but other than that it was a good meal for my family

As far as the garlic salt/cream cheese mixture: Approximately ho much of each?

Can't wait to make this for my husband!

Thanks!

(Christy.Eakins@gmail.com)

Found this through pinterest! It was wonderful! I made it for my family and they LOVE it!

I made this for my husband and he said it was my BEST meal yet!! I dont even like chicken and i LOVED it! Now im making it for the in-laws tomorrow. :) thanks!

Just wanted you to know I am trying this tonight, I just got the chicken wrapped bacon in my oven :)

I am making this right now!!! I can't wait to try it!!!

This is in my oven right now and it looks & smells delicious!!! Gonna add a little BBQ sauce on top when it's finished. Reminds me of my favorite BBQ Chicken Bacon Cheddar Sandwich I get at a local restaurant.

When you make this you should definitely use aluminum foil and turn the sides up, as the bacon cooks grease can drip into oven!

I have made something like this also. Even my kids like it. I drizzlea Three Cheese Italian Dressing over the top of it and it adds a little extra flavor to the chicken and bacon

My boyfriend & I made this and we loved it (my dad did too)! I will definitely be making this again!

Made this tonight. Added chopped portobella mushrooms in the center, too. Absolutely delicious. Thanks for the recipe!

I am currently making this and if it tastes anything like it smells, it's going to be the bomb.com..

My only suggestion about prep is trying to get small chicken breasts OR thick pieces of bacon because mine are coming unwrapped!

Fixed this twice but I add jalapeño to cream cheese. Cut out cheddar cheese and added mushroom soup diluted another 15 minutes at end of cooking time. LOVE it!!!!

We made this tonight, and my husband was in heaven. It's almost better than sex. Truly.

Oh my god! these look bad!!! (bad as in a really good way!) These are going to be an instant hit with my friends for the Sunday hangover feast, I can see it now they look like they have the potential to become legendary!!! Roll on Sunday....

Made this for dinner yesterday and it was fantastic!

DELICIOUS! Thank you so much for the recipe!

Making these AGAIN! It has become a family fave! We leave out the cream cheese, add lots of cheddar cheese & bacon, top with yummy BBQ sauce and serve on a Kaiser Roll! Awesomeness :)

I'm gonna try these tonight with a combination of goat cheese and pepper jack cheese mixed with some spinach. Can't wait to see how it turns out.

I have made a recipe like this for years and years! Used cream cheese, garlic butter. Wrapped in only 2 criss crossed pieces of bacon. So delicious! It is one of my favorite craving foods of all time!

add some jalapenos! dip in ranch! yummy!

i am replying to my own message hahaha these are 5 star! just made them for supper. added jalapenos and some minced onion. also, put a little brown sugar on top. it was perfect. i am stuffed. i did dip half of it in ranch and ate the other without. both were very good so it would just be a personal preference

Made these tonight. Used the garlic/herb \"cooking cream\" inside of them. They were VERY tasty, and my family loved them, I would probably not make again. Bacon in the oven at that temperature smoked up my whole house...glad I tried it tho...

I saw this on pinterest and I am making this for the second time tonight, we absolutely LOVED it, wouldn't change a thing!! We had some extra chicken breasts and not enough bacon we made it without the bacon too, which wasn't as good, but still mouthwatering!! Thanks for the great recipe!!

I can't wait to try this;)

Just took this out of the oven! Can't wait to try it! I added extra cheddar and some green chilis. I'm excited!!

trying this tonight! thanks

the best chicken ever A++++

This is in my oven and I cannot wait to dig in!! It was so fun and easy to make!

Making this tonight with Roasted yellow Squash recipe from my friend Kelli's page. http://www.firesidedreamers.com/omg-chicken/#comment-575 She has amazing recipes too. Can't wait to have them both.

I made this and i seasoned the chicken breasts first, then I used cream cheese, pepper jack and some green onions. It was amazing, the only bad thing was because I never cook, no one believed that I pulled this off. They thought I bought them prepared at the store and just baked them. I had made them for my family and my friend's and it was the most amazing dinner I have ever made. Can't wait to fix them again. It's too tasty of a dish to be this easy.

Sounds wonderful, can't wait to try it!

you should try sprinkling a little brown sugar on top of the bacon before you bake it!! I make this ALL the time and that sweetness just makes it THAT much better!

I made this tonight with \"Laughing Cow\" garlic and herb cheese wedges. It was wonderful! Side of wild rice and green beans! The family really loved it!

Eating it tonight...... can't wait!!!!!!!

I have never seen this before... i loved this- it was so good! and the husband was very pleased :)added some chopped up jalapeno for some kick!

I just made this tonight and hubby and I LOVED it. I made it almost exactly as the recipe calls except I pressed a garlic clove into the cream cheese. Will most certainly will make this again!

I just made it and it's fantastic! Thanks for it

Mine is in the oven now, making some baked tators and baked beans with it also, my husand and I cant wait too try it! Thanks

Cannot wait to try, doing this tonight...thanks for sharing!

Made this tonight! Even my 2yr old ate hers up! That's amazing in itself! I did sub pepperjeck for the shredded chedder as other comments suggested, and it was just great! Thanks!

My family loved this tasty recipe. However, i mixed buffalo sauce with my cream cheese and it was amazing!!!

this is blog worthy which means its a total regular keeper dinner!

Holy!!! This was so good. I drizzled mine with some honey.. It was delicious!!! Thanks for sharing

This was the best chicken I have ever made! I added green chilies to the cream cheese, and it was fantastic!

great

I did this recipe and it was really tasty! Next time I'm adding asparagas to it down the center. I like the green chili idea too. thanks for sharing.

Found these on pinterest, made them for dinner, my boyfriend and I loved them!

Found this on pinterest and making it now. My house smells amazing!!! :-)

Ours is currently in the oven cooking away... Hubs and I and even the kids too can't wait for dinner. Have some garlic mashed taters cooking too!!! Mmmm

made this for dinner tonight and wow it was amazing !!! Only problem is I need to make more next time they went fast!! Best recipe I've gotten from here yet !!! Thanks

Thanks for your replay! I will have to try it! I am always worried about overcooking the chicken! But I trust your yummy recipe! Hugs Nilla

this receipe is AMAZING! my boyfriend gets excited when we make it. we usually make the chicken with a side of asaparugs and mac n cheese or mash potatoes.

I did a chicken recipe a few weeks ago that I had to use the whole chicken breast like this recipe. It turned out to be a very big piece of chicken considering all that goes in it. I decided then I would split the breast in half! And that is what I will do with this recipe as well. It lookes deliciious!

Making this tonight, instead of cream cheese I'm using Italian Cheese & Herb Philly Cooking Cream & substituting an Italian 4 cheese blend for the cheddar. So excited, cant wait to see how it turns out!

Okay i did this chicken but i used taco cheese and cream cheese and garlic it eas yummy

I made this using 2 cloves of fresh garlic in my cream cheese...it was amazing! Everyone gobbled it up and asked for it again ASAP!!!

I've been making a similar recipe for 30 years, the only difference is I slice green onions and mix them with the cream cheese.

Lindsay, Can I use this in a bacon round-up I'm working on? I won't use the recipe, just a photo and a link back to you. It looks so yummy!

Roxana @ http://fourelevenrox.blogspot.com/

I made this last night!! to die for!

Recipe turned out great. Featured you on my blog today.

Made this last night and it turned out Awesome! Even if I forgot to add the shredded cheese. I seasoned the chicken with some pepper and granulated garlic and instead of cream cheese I substituted with the Philadelphia Savory Garlic Cooking Creme, about a Tablespoon and a half per breast. I got my Chicken breasts from the local Meat Market and they were HUGE, I was able to cut 2 in half and got my 4. Great Recipe!! Will definately do this again! Thank you!

I'm making this tonight for my family it looks delicious, thanks for the recipe was getting sick of making the same things for dinner over and over again!

This is DEE LICIOUS! Cooked my bacon for a minute in the microwave first then wrapped it around the chicken and it cooked up perfectly. Cooked it for the listed 45min.. but could probably go less with the pre-cooked bacon.

made it Family LOVED IT!.. def doing this again!

OMG Lindsay, my guys would LOVE this...cheese + bacon makes everything YUMMO! Pinned for later!

I made this tonight. Pretty tasty! LOVE IT!!

Made this for my family and they loved it!

ran across this today looking for a bacon wrapped chicken recipe and can I say I am in love!! it was heaven on my plate. definitely will make again and again!

Just found this recipe and had it with the family last night.. My 5yr old LOVED it! And everyone else liked it too. They all asked for it again soon! Thanks!

this is so good it's been going around Facebook. I had a Canadian friend make this and I'm making it tonight. congratulations. Great post

try it with green pesto, fresh goatcheese and some pinekernels......

Or Dutch Gouda cheese, pepperoni and mushrooms .....delicious !

I looove this recipe! I just switch the seasoning... and use rosemary OMG SO GOOOD!!!

I've made this a few times, very good.

first time making it it is good

This was soooo good!

I've been making a version of this for years. Mine differs in that along with the cream cheese (that I infuse with a little rosemary) I use a white horseradish cheese with some slivered red or orange sweet peppers, slivered onion, and sometimes some slivered carrots...depends what I have in the fridge. That little bit of veggies inside makes for a nice change. I also sprinkle a little brown sugar on top about 15 minutes before adding a light brushing of BBQ sauce on top that I finish under the broiler for 5 minutes under a watchful eye.

It would be really great to have a printable recipe for this!!!!

OMG!!! I have made this at least 3 times since finding the recipe months ago!!!! Wonderful..not dry at all!!! Thanks for the recipe

Mmm, this looks delicious! Thanks for sharing. I think I just found my breakfast for tomorrow…

Chowranghee Lane Rajender Nagar

This is an amazing recipe! Tried it today and I will definetely make it again soon.

Thank the Lord for suicidal bacon, this was yummy

This is my husbands favorite meal! I season the chicken with paprika, pepper, and garlic powder and added a little bit of onion salt to the cream cheese. Absolutely delicious!

nice

Just made this, and let me say: It. Was. DELICIOUS!!!!! Problem is...now I feel like my stomach is about to burst (since I probably ate too much). lol

So, I opened up the freezer to see what I wanted to make for dinner and an idea literally jumped out at me. A package of bacon fell out of the freezer and almost landed on my foot. Apparently it was done living in the freezer... So what do you do with some chicken breasts you're not sure what to do with, and some suicidal bacon? Mix them together, of course!

So here is my \"recipe\" for some bacon wrapped chicken that I've made up. There's still room for improvement, and you can always add more ingredients, but I think it turned out surprisingly tasty! Not to mention it's pretty simple... Gotta love that!

Step 1: Start out with your chicken breast on top of a layer of plastic wrap, then another piece of plastic wrap on top.

Step 2: Then take out your anger and hit the chicken with your husband's hammer or a meat tenderizer. Be careful not to get holes in your chicken.

Step 3: Next, lay out some bacon on a plate. 2-4 pieces vertically, and 2 pieces horizontally (I used 4 because I was trying to use up the bacon). You can also substitute with turkey bacon.

Step 4: Lay your chicken in the center of the bacon. I also sprinkled a little bit of seasoning salt on the chicken. Mix together some cream cheese and garlic salt, or use the herb flavored cream cheese. Spread a layer of the mixture on the chicken, then add a little bit of shredded cheddar cheese.

Other filling ideas: Pepper Jack cheese, Monterey Jack cheese, Mozzarella cheese, jalapeños, green chilis, green onions, spinach, mushrooms, onion, and asparagus

Step 5: Roll the chicken up a little and fold up the horizontal pieces of bacon, making sure the sides are covered. then fold up the vertical pieces and secure with a toothpick if they won't stay.

Step 6: Lay the chicken seam side down on a greased pan. I just put mine onto some tinfoil on top of the pan and it worked great. You can bake as-is, or sprinkle a little bit of brown sugar on top for some sweetness.

Bake at 400° for about 45 minutes, turning it over about halfway through.

Then turn the oven up to 500° or broil (watch closely!!) to brown the bacon and make it crispy. *You can turn the chicken over again to make sure all the bacon is cooked.

This is also great without the bacon. Just cook for 35-45 minutes or until the juices run clear.

*If you cut open the chicken after all of this and the bacon still isn't cooked all the way through, you can put it back in the oven for another 15 minutes or so and it will be perfect!
