Peanut Butter Breakfast Bites

Peanut Butter Breakfast Bites

Peanut Butter Breakfast Bites

These look like one of our children’s favorite desserts, Cheerio Bars. It is made with cheerios, peanut butter and marshmallows. I’m thinking they will enjoy this one since it is so close. Will these firm up so you can pick them up without getting all messy?

These set up really well and they aren’t messy.

I made these last night and followed the recipe exactly. I was hoping these would be a quick grab and go breakfast. I could not get them to firm up enough to pick them up. I was making them and a friend asked for the recipe. Maybe she can see if hers firm up enough to pick them up. If not, I’m wondering if it can be the difference in humidity?

I made them and they fell apart. What did I do wrong?

I had the same problem. They taste great but fall apart even when refrigerated.

How should I store these, and how long should they last? Mine set up perfectly btw and the whole family LOVES them!

In an airtight container in the fridge.

Once I stired the heated honey into the peanut butter it solidified. So I have a bowl of Cheerios and chunks of peanut utter mixture.

Heat peanut butter, add honey, and then heat again. Not sure if you just heated the honey from what you wrote? If I misunderstood, nevermind! Just trying to be helpful.

I was reading the recipe and it didn’t seem like they would stay firm and not be messy. I like the idea of adding other ingredients, though a little at a time at the end. And maybe scoop into bakers mini muffin paper cups. I also wonder why mixing the honey and peanut butter would cause it to solidify. There was no response to that issue

I can’t find the PB cheerios anywhere. Is there another cereal I can use instead?

Honey Nut Cheerios will work great in this recipe too!

Mornings get so crazy around here, I don’t have time to make a good breakfast, or anything at all! Then I came across these Peanut Butter Breakfast Bites and had to try them. They are so easy to make and taste amazing! They taste so good they could be a dessert. I always make a batch of these on Sunday, then just eat them for breakfast or snacks throughout the week. Sometimes they are even my dessert…
