Nightmare Before Christmas Inspired Wedding

I’m so excited for today’s wedding post photographed by John W Photography. When John submitted this wedding there were literally back flips! We haven’t had a submission with quite this much moxie yet, and we are LOVING it! If you are a fan of the dark (yet totally sweet) love story of Jack and Sally then read on good couple!

From John…When I first met Jason and Angel I knew they were planning something great. Both with tattoos and a fun love for Halloween, they told me about their plans to incorporate The Nightmare Before Christmas into their wedding plans. While they planned their wedding just a few days before Halloween, they didn’t want to make their wedding into a costume party, but they planned just enough fun things to show their personal style, and love for Jack Skellington. We met again for their engagement photos a few months before the wedding and I heard more about their plans to incorporate their favorite things into their wedding day plans. Jason told me he was wearing a Jack Skellington tuxedo.When we got to their wedding day, it was great to see them include the things they loved, like Nightmare Before Christmas and Jack Skellington making a few different appearances in the shoes, garter and cake. Most of all, Jason being able to pull off a Jack Inspired Tuxedo, that did’t look too much like a costume and kept his mother happy – while still having the fun attitude to make their wedding, a perfect night for themselves.

From the couple…We share a love for all things Halloween, zombies and, of course, The Nightmare Before Christmas. When we started making wedding plans, we decided to bring our own personal style to our country club wedding. My wedding dress was revealing enough to show off my tattoos, while Jason sported a pin stripped tuxedo and tightly groomed mohawk. Jason chose his pin stripped suit in homage to Jack Skellington, the hero in the tale, The Nightmare Before Christmas, and I wore a Jack garter and Jack Skellington studded high heels as I played the the roll of Jason’s Sally, and one true love. We had a Nightmare Before Christmas inspired cake, with black and red flowers and inspired decor and we truly changed the traditional country club wedding into a night no one could forget. It was a night all our own!
